While Goljung has ancient monastery, Gatlang set high on a hillside among terraced fields is the Tamang settlement. One can also visit a Tamang monastery and the beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang. From the viewpoint at Bahundanda near these settlements, one can also see a panoramic view of Lantang, Kerung, and the Ganesh Himal, Sanjen Himal ranges.After the trek of several days, bathing in the hot, healing waters of the natural spring at Tatopani en route from Gatlang to Chilime is an exhilarating experience. Brimdang offers cultural experience at community-run home-stay, while Nagathali in Thuman VDC is surrounded by beautiful views of Langtang, Kerung, Ganesh Himal and Sanjen Himal ranges. Nagthali used to be a popular meditation center for the local monks and priests. Next is Timure on the old trade route to Tibet. A fort at Rasuwagadi in Timure is a historical reminder of the Nepal-Tibet relations that has existed for many centuries. A suspension bridge here links Nepal and Tibet.

Itinerary:

Day 1
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be picked up by our private vehicle and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2
Full day guided sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. (B)

Day 3
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (10-11 hours) and overnight in a tea house.

Day 4
Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (5 hrs) and overnight in a community lodge.

Day 5
Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (6-7 hrs) and overnight in a community lodge.

Day 6
Trek from Tatopani to Thuman (6 hrs) and overnight in a community lodge.

Day 7
Trek from Thuman to Briddim (6 hrs) and overnight in a local home.

Day 8
Trek from Briddim to Lama Hotel (6 hrs) and overnight in a tea house.

Day 9
Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang (6 hrs) and overnight in a teahouse.

Day 10
Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (4 hrs) and overnight in a teahouse.

Day 11
Rest day in Kyanjin Gompa, optional hike to Langsisa Kharka or Glacier Langtang Lirung or hike to Tserko Ri (5,000M).

Day 12
Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (6 hours).

Day 13
Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulosyabru (5-6 hours).

Day 14
Trek from Thulosyabru to Dhunche (5 hours).

Day 15
Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu (6-7 hours).

Please note that “B” in Day 2 indicates that breakfast is included on that day. Also, the accommodations mentioned in the itinerary (tea houses, community lodges, and local home) are basic and common for trekkers in the Langtang region of Nepal.
